Drawing Parallels with Nature

In Nature there is Strength in Unity…

Trees grow close to one another in a forest. Not to rob one another of the nutrients supplied from above and below, but to support one another.

They grow tall as they search for the light. Yet they are safe from fierce winds as they share the load.

In several different professions this is the same.

A Japanese Swordsmith forges his piece of steel, introducing other materials and folding the same piece over and over. The result is an extremely strong, yet much lighter sword.

Similarly, in the Building Industry it is extremely difficult to mill a piece of timber that has the length, straightness and necessary strength rating. The way around this is the Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL).

Also consider businesses… Furniture Stores, Coffee Shops and Car Dealers. Have you noticed that many businesses set up close to one another? Families too.

So what can we learn from this?

Leverage off one another. Support one another. Don’t grow in the shadows. Find your pathway to the light. Use others strengths to help you. Network.

Consciously it is Logical
Unconsciously it is Natural.
